Storm Impact Update

As you know, our community was impacted by a series of storms in the last few days.  As of today, we still have several road closures due to downed wires in trees and we are awaiting JCP&L to remove the wires so our crews can clear the roadways.  Some of the roads still impacted include South Street, Montrose Road, Galloping Hill, Prothero, Northwood Place, Dutch, Cross, Willowbrook and Saddle Ridge.  Further, we have approximately 950 residents still without power.  While we have been in constant contact with JCP&L representives, we anticipate that estimated times of restoration will vary and suggest you contiue to reach out to JCP&L regaring your specific outage.  (1-888-LIGHTSS -1-888-544-4877).  Please note, however, there are thousands of outages throughout the county requiring JCP&L resources so plan accordingly.  Our team will continue to press for assistance and updates.  For those in need, the First Aid Building is open today from 11 am to 2 pm and during the week from 10 am to 2 pm for cooling and device recharging.  As for a special storm related brush collection, please visit the website or contact DPW for details and updates.
