As you are aware, the Township experienced high winds with last night’s storm which brought down several trees resulting in power outages around town. We are in constant communication with JCP&L and hope to have power restored as quickly as possible. Monmouth County has roughly 24,000 customers without power. Additional crews from mutual aid contractors have been deployed. Estimates for restoration can be found at https://outages-nj.firstenergycorp.com/. Keep in mind that JCP&L often uses a Global ETR (Estimate Time of Restoration) which is the time they expect the final customers to be restored. The vast majority of customers should be restored in advance of this ETR. In the meantime, a Comfort Station to cool off and charge your electronic devices has been established at the Colts Neck Library, 2 Veterans Way. Hours of operation are: Friday – 11 am to 5 pm and Saturday – 9 am to 5 pm.
