Green teams are an integral part of the Sustainable Jersey program, leveraging the skills and expertise of team members to develop plans, implement programs, and assist with educational opportunities that support the creation of a sustainable community.

Sustainable Jersey is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that provides tools, training and financial incentives to support communities as they pursue sustainability programs. By supporting efforts to reduce waste, cut greenhouse gas emissions, educate for sustainability, stimulate local economies, increase resiliency and progress toward an equitable society, Sustainable Jersey is empowering communities to build a better world for future generations. Acting with state agencies, nonprofit organizations, foundations, academia and industry, Sustainable Jersey researches best practices for what communities could do to contribute to a sustainable future. A Green Team is comprised of local residents who implement programs to create a sustainable future for a community.

The Colts Neck Green Team is made up of residents who are using their skills and expertise to develop plans, implement programs and create educational events that raise the awareness of residents to build a framework to sustain the character and environment of Colts Neck now and into the future.
