The Township provides its residents with curbside collection of recyclables and a drop off location for recyclables, brush & metal (see details above). Individual households are responsible for contracting directly with a cartage company for the removal of its household waste. While the Township does not recommend specific cartage companies, you may want to speak with your neighbors and/or observe the names on the trash receptacles and collection vehicles of these companies around town.
Residents may bring branches/brush, at NO COST, to the DPW Convenience Center. Residents must show identification verifying their address. Landscapers/Contractors must purchase a permit to drop off their Colts Neck customer’s brush. Effective February of each year, upon payment of an annual fee to the Township in the amount of $40.00 (Check or money order accepted). The Recycling Convenience Center hours: Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 8:00AM – 1:30PM.
